Account Manager Biotechnology Downstream Processing

ABOUT THE JOB

Salesperson, relationship manager, consultant: you are all these things and more. You represent our organisation in your dealings with major players in the biotechnology sector. This means we will give you lots of responsibility and autonomy to perform your duties and take ownership for your own success. A few examples of your activities:

• You represent our organisation European wide and you make sure that you meet the needs of our customers and maintain a positive relationship to identify sales opportunities, generate interest, analyse the opportunity and prepare quotations to exceed our sales targets.

• Strong focus at customer relationship management with new and existing customers and acting as primary contact for assigned accounts.

• Close co-operation with product management, the application team and supplier partner.

• Develop and execute sales strategies. Exceeding revenue targets while working with internal teams to deliver solutions and meeting customer requirements.

• Present solutions to enhance the customer's workflow and identify cross-selling opportunities.

• Driving the sales pipeline effectively by managing sales opportunities, preparing and presenting proposals, securing deals and monitoring customer satisfaction.

• Develop strategic account plans outlining objectives, tactics and timelines.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and projects in the CRM system to assure proper business projections.

THIS IS YOU

• You have a science degree in Biochemistry/Bioprocessing/Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) or a comparable qualification

• You have a technical and practical understanding of DSP (filtration, chromatography)

• You have five years sales experience of capital equipment and downstream processing products to biopharma customers

• You are familiar with the industry's GMP manufacturing standards for GMP-compliant, scalable processes

• You have a commercial mindset and can-do mentality

• You have the ability to travel around 60% of working time

• You have excellent communication skills

• You enjoy working internationally

• A very good spoken and written level in English
