Account Manager Biotechnology
Salesperson, relationship manager, consultant, product trainer: you are all these things and more. You represent our organisation - an experienced distributor - in your dealings with major players in the biotechnology sector, ranging from pharmaceutical companies to businesses in the food industry. We put our trust in your expertise. This means we will give you lots of responsibility and the freedom to perform your duties however you want. For example, if you spot opportunities to open doors with new organisations or identify potentially interesting (biotech) trends, we want you to share your ideas with us. We give you the space you need to execute your plans. If you need help, you can always reach out to your colleagues.
A few examples of your activities
You represent our organisation and you make sure that you meet the needs of our customers and maintain a positive relationship to identify sales opportunities, generate interest, analyse the opportunity and prepare quotations to exceed our sales targets.
Strong focus at customer relationship management with new and existing customers and acting as primary contact for assigned accounts.
Develop and execute sales strategies. Exceeding revenue targets while working with internal teams to deliver solutions and meeting customer requirements.
Present solutions to enhance the customer's workflow and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Driving the sales pipeline effectively by managing sales opportunities, preparing and presenting proposals, securing deals and monitoring customer satisfaction.
Develop strategic account plans outlining objectives, tactics and timelines.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and projects in the CRM system to assure proper business projections.

A one year contract for forty hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent contract thereafter.

With your natural affinity with sales, in-depth knowledge of products and technologies, enthusiasm, persuasiveness and winner's mentality, you help us successfully achieve our goals. You have a clear communication style, can easily deal with (new) targets and enjoy contributing to the development and growth of I&L Biosystems. You are able to quickly learn anything you don't already know. You love working on your personal and professional development. You keep a close eye on and are able to anticipate the latest market trends and new developments within clients’ organisations. You also love to travel and work out of various international destinations. If you live near or in Belgium, that is a big plus.
You also have:
You have a Bachelor's degree in Life Science or a comparable qualification
You have at least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in Life Science industry
You have a commercial mindset and a winners mentality
You have a good understanding and in depth knowledge of Bioprocessing industry, understanding of customers' needs and challenges
You are fluent in Dutch (verbally and in writing) and advanced in English
You have a relevant network
You have the ability to travel around 60% of working time
You have excellent communication skills
You enjoy working internationally
You have a driving license
